CHINESE TIN.

We have received your letter of the 4th inst., and

are pleased to note that a copy of our letter of 15th March has

been forwarded to the Governor of Hongkong.

We have to inform you that we have now received a

further parcel of 30 tons of Chinese No.1 Tin ex s.s. "TENERIFFA" arrived in London on 1st April. The Certificate of Analysis

supplied by Messrs. D.G.Glenn Allen of Hongkong showed this Tin

as assaying 99.1% Tin.

On arrival here it was assayed in accordance with

Metal Exchange Rules by Messrs. Daniel C.Griffith & Co.London.,

and Messrs. Johnson & Sons, London., and gave the following results:

98.87% Tin 98.93% Tin

As such, the metal is not a good delivery on the London Metal

p.t.o.
